Disclaimer

I am not here to diagnose you with a mental health disorder.

In fact, if you’ve never spoken to a doctor about your mental health difficulties then I strongly encourage you to do so,
and in some cases I won’t be able to work with you until you have.

Though I am trained in mental health first aid, I am not qualified to provide “treatment” to anyone who appears to be a threat to themselves or in need of medical attention.

If I were speaking to a friend who was feeling extremely overwhelmed, sad, hopeless, or numb, my first line of advice would always be to seek out a therapist OR make an appointment with their doctor. The same goes for my clients. If they are undiagnosed/have never spoken to a medical professional about the issues they’re having, this is a requirement before diving into coaching.

Working with a licensed psychotherapist or mental health professional is the best way to explore childhood experiences and traumas, increase self-awareness, and begin to put the past behind you.

My role as a coach is to provide actionable steps and accountability that will help you move forward in your journey towards healing. While I will always recommend therapy alongside coaching, that’s up to the individual to decide.
